About
Megan St Clair is a British artist currently based in London, UK. Originally from Wakefield, Yorkshire, she studied Illustration at London College of Fashion, UAL where she started her career as a live catwalk artist. Over 6 years she attended fashion shows across the globe – including Dior, Celine and Yohji Yamamoto amongst others. Creating live reportage artworks for publications including Vogue and The Evening Standard.
Taking a step away from the runway, Megan turned her hand to a career of both commercial illustration, and textural contemporary art. Where she found solace in creating artworks through exploration, experimentation, and freedom of expression during a mental health struggle. With a focus on subjects that felt safe and joyful, her works spotlight flora and natural forms – often combining the fashion figure, with bold floral monoprints, finished with her staple continuous lines.
Megan is represented and sold by The Old Bank Vault, East London’s Premium Contemporary Art Gallery. With original works created on both paper, found materials and canvas.
